Considering I am 38 Years old, what size would everyone recommend would suit me?
I know there is a lot of room for sizing up !

Would be nice to know everyone's thoughts.

Glad to see a nother oldie LOL. I am 42 and am planning to go to 0 so if I take care of them they will go back to normal size. However I do not know if I will realy stop there.

Oldie ! lol
My original limit was 10mm / 00 Gauge however It does as many have mentioned on here get addictive !

But I tend to agree with you in our later years the thought of will it return to a normal sized hole, do we care - I am still undecided.

I think small lobes looks silly on men, even more on older men (I mean, not teenage or young adult). But if you need to look professionnal I think you can go up to 5/8... but 3/4 would look better of course! (they usually start looking kinda big at 3/4)
1 inch lobes, madison microdermal 16/07/10 and venoms 2/07/11.
RIP self-done tongue web, retired wrist surface and tongue.

First tattoo on right thigh - line done (1h20)

Want: 4g septum, tattoo on left ribs/behing ear.

I really like the 0g, 00g, 7/16 sizes. I am 33 and I plan on stopping at one of those sizes. Undecided as to which one though. BUT I am truely addicted already and im just at 6g.
0g lobes. 6 Tattoos so far.

Didn't you just get pierced not too long ago? Your ear looks pretty red and swollen; you should probably slow down. I know you're having your piercer do it but a lot of piercers don't know much about proper stretching. Anyway, I think 00G or so would look great.
I'm Lindsay.
I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

I have taken everyone's comments into consideration and will stay where I am for at least 3 - 4 months before I stretch up to 0 Gauge.

Thank you everyone, I agree with everything that has been said and would not want to damage my ears for the future.

Warmest Regards

nice to read about some "older people " stretching usually I feel ancient on these boards ( Im 30 ) and most everyone else here is still in high school ! lol your never to old to mod ! and one thing I can say is the older you are the more relaxed your skin is .. I know a guy who at 50 got 3 lobe piercings in each ear .. at 8ga 10 ga and 12 ga now 5 years later with out stretching it all his jewelry is literally falling out each hole has stretched at least 2 to 3 sizes on its own . I gave him my old 8 ga spirals and he was able to put them in the " 12 ga" holes and there is still a visible gap I guess thats one up side of stretching at an "older" age although 30s and 40s really isnt old ! they say 50 is the new 20 ! so we are still teens lol
4ga lobes ,14ga 2nd hole lobes. 14ga tounge
full sleeve and 7 other Tattoos
