The reason you haven't seen anyone sporting them as they are completely uncomfortable as well as creating unnecessary pressure points on your lobes. These points will thin out your lobes and give you issues. Being in the industry for quite some time, I have yet to hear anything good about them ...

The guy was correct, stretching with organics is not good. Another thing you need to consider is what species of wood are the plugs made out of? There are a lot of certain types of wood that causes some serious reactions, and unfortunately most companies will continue to make them.
