Re: Why do people dislike O-rings??
I agree with Lindsay. I typically like to keep the o-rings as far from my skin as I can get them. On my ears I try to wear them loose and I always shower with my jewelry out so I can thoroughly dry my ears before I put anything in that could trap moisture. In my septum, I used to be able to wear o ...

Re: Kaos Skins
I mean heal from the latest stretch. It's hard to say how long since everyone is different, but it was probably 6 weeks before I didn't feel itchy when I wore them too long. I'd guestimate that 6-8 weeks is probably a safe time to wait.

Re: Kaos Skins
I wear my earskins a lot. Honestly, I have had no problem with my ears shrinking. Just be sure you have let your ears heal completely before you start using earskins or you could irritate your lobes something fierce.

Re: How old are you and what will you do
I'm 34 and I have no clue what I'll want to do when I'm older. That's a long way off. That said, I am comfortable with the choices I have made, so I'm pretty confident I won't have any regrets later. I like the way I look and I think I'll grow old gracefully with the mods I have chosen.

Re: LUMP on the back of my ears, is it a blowout?
That lump looks like an abscess, not a blowout. Still definitely not good.
Forcing jewelry is never a good idea. It can cause tears which can lead to other issues. I would stay at the smaller size for a good 2-3 months and let your ear heal. Once it is healed, then you can start thinking about ...

Re: New piercing issues
Is your ear swollen, warm to the touch and/or unexpectedky painful? If not, I'd encourage you to roll with Jayne's suggestion, or get some glass SF plugs with large fronts and have your piercer swap them out for you. Often piercers will do it for free if you buy the jewelry from their shop. They ...

Re: Wrapped plugs w/ electrical tape... BIG mistake
When you are ready to stretch again, instead of using acrylic, which is not recommended in general, choose a material that is safe for your skin. Don't wrap your new plugs especially not with electrical tape. When you stretch up to the next size, wrapoing the plugs overstretches your fistula and can ...

Re: clean your damn piercings
Indeed. While we are on the topic of caring for piercings, i have a hard time understanding why people choose to be negligent from the start. I have a friend who did a bunch of research on piercers but, when it came down to it, she went with a discount piercer with minimal experience just because it ...

Re: stretching forum for older ppl?
I think i posted about something similar to this a little bit back. I just turned 34 and i started stretching in the beginning of last year. I haven't found any sites out there that cater to people of any particular age.

Re: second hole?
If you have a good piercer, you can probably talk to them and get your second placed based on your goal size. That said, waiting is definitely preferable.
