First of all, apologies that I haven't been on for nearly a month but I've been busy and lazy at the same time.
Anyway, turns out that surgical steel (or nickel to be more precise) was not the problem and it was indeed the fungal infection*. So, I kept away from my ear until 2 weeks ago when I went ...

Re: Really itchy and dry ears
Well, so far the progress has been great. This plug combined with Holey Butt'r has worked wonders. Itching has subdued greatly and the ear is healing nicely so far. If all goes to plan then in about 2 or 3 days my ear should be like new.
Only downside is that this plug is shorter in length and so ...

Re: Really itchy and dry ears
A little update. Ended up plucking for the titanium coated plug from e-bay. Came really, really quickly considering the festive madness and is top notch quality. Will definitely buy from them again if my ear doesn't fall off.
I've just put the plug in but will wait a couple of days before making ...

Re: Really itchy and dry ears
Thanks for your advice.
About the fungal infection - I recently developed a really random, small rash on my hand and I've been to doctor a few times to determine what it is but after about 5 sessions, she still doesn't know. However, she thinks its either a type of eczema or as you said, a fungal ...

Re: Really itchy and dry ears
I wanted to get Titanium when I was in store buying the metal replacement plug but they didn't have any. And due to it being Christmas now, ordering online is waste of time. But if my ear doesn't get too bad and I can hold out then I'll try the titanium.
But it still baffles me, how come my ear ...

Re: Really itchy and dry ears
SSS mixture is 1/4 tsp per cup.
I've tried Jojoba Oil and Holey Butt'r.
I only switched sizes twice. I was on 6 for about 2 months, went down to 5 for a month, didn't work so I'm back up on 6 for the last week.
Thanks for everyone's help so far.

Re: Really itchy and dry ears
Well that's the weird thing. They're surgical steel.
First thing I assumed when this began was that its something to do with the taper I had used (Acrylic) because my plug was surgical steel and I had no worries about that. I went out and got a surgical steel concave taper (which is fucking ...

Really itchy and dry ears
I already posted this a while ago but didn't get an answer.
So basically whenever I moved from 5 to 6mm, a few days after my ear started to become really itchy, I scratched it, it became red and started leaking yellow fluid and became crusty. It remained like this for ages and nothing I done helped ...

Advice needed?
Grettings all.
So, I've been stretching very slowly for about year and a few months now (I was actually just chilling with a 2mm plug and then kind of picked it up again around March this year). I'm currently on 6mm's.
