I wouldnt take it out much right now .... you dont really have to "rest your ears" till you get to a bit bigger sizes Id say about 2 ga ( then you would rest them for an hour or so each day slowly increasing the time till you can sleep without plugs ... if you choose ).. so for now yes treat it ...
