Hey all
I currently am at 4g, been there for about 3 weeks now. I am wearing plain metal tunnels (I think they're stainless steel, which I know isn't the best but I'm one of those lucky people with no metal sensitivities). Anyway, I've got some recurring dryness on the back of one ear. I can't tell ...

Re: pain and bleeding...
I would say wait longer than a month. It took me a month and a half just to get from a 6 to a 4. It takes longer than you think to heal, because like it says everywhere you look, your ear heals from the outside in.

Put a smaller plug, preferably a metal one, and do salt soaks. Oil is good too, jojoba or vitamin E is the best.

Re: Question for those who stretch FAST!
I am not a fast stretcher, but as far as I can tell, of course it hurts! And of course they bleed, get blowouts, get cat butt... They just don't care, or think its normal.

Thanks, that's what I thought but I figured it's worth a try!

Re: Preserving Salt Water??
DIY is probably not the best idea. Too hard to keep it sterile! I've heard of a product called h2ocean which is essentially that. I believe there's probably other products out there like it, made for plugged noses or cuts and scrapes. If you get a store bought one it will be more expensive than if ...

Re: Itchingg
Sea salt soak! I get itchy too, I find taking them out in the shower, wiping any gunk off of them and massaging my lobes helps a lot. I do it every time I shower, AFTER I've shampooed and stuff, to make sure I don't have anything in my holes that doesnt belong there :) you could try massaging them ...

Nope, good idea! Most people will tell you that taping is much much better than using tapers, as long as youre just doing one layer at a time.

Are stone and glass plugs okay for new stretches?
Or is would it be too poreous? Also, any tips for the taping method? I am worried about sticking if I use teflon tape... but if I keep it oiled up would it not happen as easily?
