6g was a hard one for me too!! What helped me was wearing the tapers as far as they would go and leave them in. After a couple of hours they went in. I tried multiple times to get them in and wouldn't budge either. You can also try getting a 7 gauge taper and go from there.

Stretching does hurt especially when using tapers. It's the same thing people say about tattoos "they don't hurt" bs.
