Re: Will it look good?
Just from a quick look at the pic, it looks like 00 might be a little too big for you to keep your second. Of course, your third could become your new second.

No, do not skip sizes. Do not wear tapers as jewelry. Read through the threads on here. There is a wealth of information just begging to be read, but no one seems to do so. Everyone seems to think that "they are special," and that the rules do not apply to them. You can break the ...

Re: 8G piercing thinking about stretching.
Yup, you need to wait. I was pierced at 8g and tried stretching after 5 months and couldn't get anything to happen. I ended up waiting 8 months because at the time, I wasn't even sure if I was going to be able to keep my piercings, but 6 months should be about right.

Re: ouch! stretch from 8gauge to 6gauge very painful
A full month is not long enough. If your ears hurt when you stretch, you didn't wait long enough. If it's been a year since your last stretch and it still hurts, wait longer. Seriously, pain should not be associated with stretching PERIOD. You need to downsize back to 8, preferably 10g if it hurt.

Welcome to the forums. Hope you enjoy your stay here. I'm also kind of a loner when it comes to body mods, so I feel your pain in some way.

Re: Possible rip??
You need to put in your old jewelry as soon as it fits again and let it heal, or you can just attempt to let it heal completely closed and start completely over by getting pierced at a larger gauge to begin with. Definitely don't keep it in and just "hope for the best."

Re: starting to stretch need help or advice
No, definitely not. Not only would that be skipping a size or two, you've only have your ears pierced for 6 WEEKS, and from my guess, probably with a gun, not a needle. You need to wait 5-6 months before stretching at all, and you should not skip ANY sizes. Some people may get away with skipping ...

Re: Question About Stone Plugs ??
Definitely NOT titanium. Solid stainless steel plugs MIGHT be heavier, or a big stainless steel CBR or circular barbell will most likey be heavier. Titanium is ~40% lighter than steel, though, so you definitely don't want ti if your looking for heavy.

Re: 3 days peirced
Starting to stretch after two weeks is a good way to build up scar tissue and to make sure your lobes never close. 5-6 months is the normal and smart waiting time between fresh piercing and first stretch.
