Re: 14g to 12g
I know people have already posted, but here's my 2 cents.. If nothing appears too horrible about the 12G, I say leave it. If there's any other symptoms besides the usual slight tenderness and stuff like that, you're fine. But anything else, I'd downsize.

Smelly?
How do I stop the smell. I clean them often but it seems like the smell keeps coming back, it's not infected because I kinda flipped the hole out (you know, poked it so the inside would show) and it looks perfect. So, what gives? What do I do?

Re: sticky liquid coming out your ear gauge?
I had that once before stretching from an 8 to a 6, it was a fresh stretch and there was a bit of blood then white goo-ish stuff, it's just pus. Be careful, keep it clean. It isn't the best thing to have but it isn't the end of the world either. Don't stretch up again until it's COMPLETELY healed.

how to clean my holes?
I always get a q-tip with that Claire's ear piercing fluid to clean my lobes, and I'm at a 2G right now... I know my hole has the capability to stretch around the q-tip, I'm just wondering if it's safe to put my q-tip in the hole to clean in there.

Re: Starting from scratch in a few days, just a few questions.
Follow what strickyclub said, I only waited about 12 weeks from when I first got my ears pierced, and believe me you want to wait for a while. :P All my friends are having way less trouble than me because their lobes have been pierced for a long time. So yes, the first step is definitely waiting ...
