it could have been from a number of reasons. but yeah stretching without some kind of lub or oil is horrid. never do that and dont use water either it does nothing. if you use emu oil, holey butter, joojoba vitamin E, etc it should eventually smooth out. yeah i think a year is a great amount of time ...

omg i'm having the same problem i stretched to a 0g 2 days ago! i dont want it to get infected or anything so i just cleaned it and rubbed some emu and bio iol on it... this happened to me once before when i stretched to a 4g. it'll heal. you just have to keep rubbing the oils on it. dont sss it too ...

rub some emu oil on it. try not to pick of the crusties but wipe them once the oic is on your ears. the scabs need to heal. and the crusties will come off with a wet wash cloth, but wipe them gentley :] hope i helped

omfg! :o yikes thats freaking crazy! yeah i totally agree to what raven said! i wouldnt stretch up for a few months. let it heel rum some Emu oil on it a few times a day stuff works like magic no lie. it'll help to prevent you from getting cat butted looking ears or a crazy blow out... hope that ...
