Bleeding question

So I recently went from a 2g to a 0g finally, and the stretch wasnt that painful, and didnt have to use much force, it was basically like all of my other stretches. I put a tunnel in one ear, and a plug in the other, and its 2 days later. Well just a little bit ago, I took my tunnel out, and it starting bleeding. Kind of a lot. It wasnt painful, just blood coming out... so I rushed back into my room, and put in a 0g taper (After putting some antiseptic and wiping the blood). Now the ear is SLIGHTLY swollen, and has a VERY slight uncomfortable pain, as if I had just stretched again. I have been quite cautious on all of my stretches, so this is the first time its happened to me.

My question is, is there ANY way I can get through this without having to downsize? I have worked very hard to get to a 0g safely. I am scared to take out my right ear, and quite honestly don't know how to handle this just yet. Also. I dont want to wear this taper, as I know its not good for your ears to taper, let alone wear them as jewelry, so I know im going to have to put my tunnel back in, which is a pain, because the hole is EXACTLY the size, and its pretty much a pain to get it in.

Any advice?

Re: Bleeding question

the majority are going to say downsize...now thats out the way it seems like you simply took the plug out to soon...just put it back in and do sss religiously for the next couple of days

Re: Bleeding question

Well, downsizing will take the pressure off your ears and make the swelling go down MUCH faster, plus it will reduce the amount of scar tissue that may form. But if you insist on not downsizing, do a couple sea salt soaks every day (make sure there's no more salt than 1/4 teaspoon per one cup water), take some ibuprofen for swelling, and never touch/mess with them for any reason.

I'd also like to suggest (if you downsize) trying 1G/7mm in between. It's rare but it does exist. The gauge system is pretty flawed and 2G-0G is actually like skipping a size.
I'm Lindsay.
I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

Re: Bleeding question

i wouldnt say its flawed i just think it starts off with small jumps in preparation for the future since most stretches after 8mm are 2mm
