taping help

ok i am currently at 2g in both lobes and have been for about 4 months or so i am ready to start going up to 0g and i want to tape bc 1 i hate tapers and 2 i dont wanna buy a taper to use it one time lol.
problem is i have no idea how to tape... so my ?s are..

what kind of plugs work best? i have heard DF but my DF are 2g on the flare and 4g in the middle.. how does that work
how often do i need to change the tape?
can i just fill the df with tape till it is even with the top 2g flare than add a layer or two a week?
and any other advice or input will be greatly apriciated! i need all the help i can get lol thanks logan

Re: taping help

i used no flared plugs they worked the best for my ear. they say change the tape like every 4 days to a week.. but i didnt. i just add more. and what i would do is i would do 2-3 wraps of electrical tape and then cover if with tefflon because electrical tape gets sticky and gross. and ya you could do that with your double flared plugs. (i know this is fast, i am impacient. i know its not a race lol) i went from 1/2 inch to 5/8ths in a week with no complications. doing it that way. i hope this helps

Re: taping help

Thats why i cover my electrical tape with the ptfe tape so my ears dont come in contact with the electrical tape. because electrical tape gave me bad blowouts but it did fine after i covered the electrical with ptfe. how i do it is i just pull it tightly but not tight enough to stretch the tape and then gently wrap it and if i have a problem i just push the spots that messed up to the edge with force from my thumb. and using only ptfe tape is going to take 2 times longer because its so thin.
