my left is fine, seems there's no discomfort or anything. ut my right, well it hurt a bit more putting it in and now it is super sore around the lobe part, it doesnt throb or anything, just tender to the touch. so my question, is medical tape okay? and is my ear being a bit sore normal? i would hate to find out medical tape messes with your ear or something

if it's sore, take the tape off and downsize now. you can always stretch back up later, but if your ears are irritated now it will just get worse if you don't take some of the pressure off. also, i have no clue what "medical tape" is, but if it is adhesive then it is no good for your lobes. invest in some non adhesive bondage or PFTE tape (plumber's tape). they're easy to find in stores and are the best types for your ears

Ugh, for a start thats got adhesive (bad), and its really quite porous (extra bad). Its kinda like sticky tissue paper D:

Bondage tape and ptfe/teflon/plumbers tape are the only ones that are ever a good idea.
