resisting

Yep, here I am again resisting the urge to stretch. My next size is 7/16ths or 11mm. My ears are annoying at times as they start eating my jewlery before I am ready to stretch. Flares go through them with no problems. I will however fight this urge until march, I promised my lobes we would stay at our current size until then. I wake up every morning just about to find my left plug in the bed with me, its the same steps, wash plug, emu oil massage my lobe, put plug back in and brush teeth. This morning my bf says don't you get tired of doing that every morning? Well yeah but I am not mentally ready for the next size. However since I have enough jewelry at my current size I am going to start buying for the next size and since that's my stopping point when I feel I have an adequate amount of jewelry I will post my entire collection. Yay I have been waiting for what seems like forever to do that. I think also since I will be at my goal I will reward myself with a new piercing and maybe start working on my tattoos. Anywho I am rambling now, you guys are awesome in advance for reading my post and as always I look forward to your advice and comments! Happy sstretching :D

Re: resisting

Not replying to myself but, yesterday I put 7/16ths single flares in and they went no problem but I took them out and decided to wait a couple more weeks, bc I am menatlly not ready for the 7/16ths even though I have been waiting for what seems like forever. I just hope my ears stop here maybe if they self stretch I can go to 1/2 and my bf wont notice.....but I will be patient. Yesterday while at the flea market say a guy would looked to be wear slightly over and inch amber plugs and while walking past I turned around bc I wanted to see what the back of his ear lobe looked like, it was a scary shade of deep purple almost black, other than that from what I saw they looked to be in fairly good shape. Mqybe poor circulation is what the color was from bc it wasn't cold out yesterday.

Re: resisting

originally i wasn't ever gonna go past 10mm. then i ended up going to 12.... now i'm determined to get to 16 and i'm adamant that that's my end goal. my ears better not have other ideas.

Re: resisting

My lobes always have some other idea than what I have, maybe I should start sleeping with my lobes naked and see if that helps, I am just afraid of waking up and they have downsized them selves....

Re: resisting

they might shrink, but it's good for them. i think i read a suggestion somewhere that upon waking, if they have shrunk, wear smaller jewellery for a couple of hours until the lobes have relaxed again. they won't downsize completely overnight.

Re: resisting

Sorry kind of stupid question, Does everybody's ears stretch like that so you can change sizes? and if so they do stretch on their own how do you stay at the size you want? I guess i went a little faster about a month apart so I never had were my tunnels felt looser.( wrong I know) but I've got a way to go and am doing it slower.
thanks!

Re: resisting

Nope unfortunately everyones ears are not as stretchy. Some have super stretchy ears and other people have to wait super long periods of time before the next size taper will even go in. Lots of people sleep with their lobes naked to keep their ears from self stretching to the next size. Going with naked lobes helps to keep them at your ideal size and also promotes blood flow/healthy tissue growth for strong healthy lobes. Switching between 7/16th and 1/2 is easy for lots of people bc its a mm difference, which isn't much bigger. Glad that you slowed down your stretching, your ears will greatly appreciate it.
