Double Flare Glass. Suggestions?

I bought some double flare glass plugs in 4g because I planned to stay at that size for a while. In order to get them in, I figured I would have to stretch to at least 2g, so I did. Still can't get them in. Very frustrated. I would prefer to wear plugs without o-rings so I thought double flare would be the way to go... apparently not. Maybe I will try flat flares.

Any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated

Ive been at 4ga for like 9 months and still cant do double flares I have no idea how people manage to get them in without pain
