Torn ear - How to prevent a blowout?

I've waited about 2-3 months to stretch to 0G. I left half my 0G taper in at night, and then pushed the rest in the next morning.

I had a Naval Science/ NJ meeting that day and we couldn't wear jewelry, so I had to take them out. When I pushed them back in it was extremely painful.. This morning I took both of them out to see if there was any damage, and my left ear had a lot of blood and crust on it. I immediately downsized back to a 2g on that ear but I'm afraid I'm going to have a blowout.

What should I do?

you did the right thing by downsizing. do warm sea salt soaks 2-3 times a day and dont mess with it much until it heals. i cant tell if you have a blowout without a pic but you def tore your lobe.you should try 1g before you go to 0g 2-0 is a big jump. bodyartforms.com sells 1g and they are not too expensive. try not to sleep with your tapers in it can mess up your lobes. its better at 2g to try the taping method with bondage or ptfe tape its alot easier on your lobes. i hope this helps and if you have anymore questions just ask.

Why did you try and stretch when you knew you'd have to take them out the next day?

I bought 0g fleshtone tunnels that I thought I could pull off instead of taking them out for a few hours. I didn't wanna buy 2g's because I knew I was gonna stretch soon.

That particular stretch is where a lot of people start to have problems. You will really benefit from giving your ears plenty of time to heal and get yourself a pair of 1g plugs so you aren't skipping a size.
