14mm to 16mm

So I'm at 14mm right now, my holes are completely healed. I am trying stretching to 16mm and my taper will not go through. It doesn't hurt, there is no pain at all when I try to push it through. It just won't stretch. I am using coconut oil as a lubricant, which is what I've always used and I can't get it through. Help! What could this mean? Again I want to point out there is no pain at the hole at all, it just won't budge after I get about half way through.

When you're at this size you can actually start using the tapping method. it takes a little longer than using a taper, but its so much easier on your ears. you want to use a tape that doesn't have adhesive on it. A lot of people use Sex Tape or Plumbers tape, also known as PFTE. im currently doing this method to size up to 3/4ths.
