What do you use to lubricate before inserting a plug/taper?

I've been using a regular water based personal lubricant called ID Glide that I have laying around. I've heard lots of talk here about oils for massages but my ears seem to be comfortable and happy without massaging and/or oil.

Does anyone here stretch without lubrication? I put in my plug the other day after letting my holes breathe and it shrunk a little but I was too lazy to go grab the lube and it actually was almost too tight :o .

I used to use a 'personal' lube. It smelt amazing... Cherries
But since I got some free jojoba oil, I've used that ever since.
I have emu oil too, but I don't like to use that just for stretching

I usually stretch with emu oil, and massage with Vitamin E or naked oil. Lately I've been massaging with emu though, just because I'm running low on the other two.

My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

I personally stretched my piercings after getting out of the shower, the skin is supple and relaxed, I used a water based lubricant when using tapers. Kept it clean with Sea Salt or Dial Anti-bacterial hand soap. I'm old school though.
It's not a revolution, it's a lifestyle.

Yeah I think I'm just going to stick with my current routine using personal lubricant and forgoing the oil and massages.

I'm just so surprised how much difference a little bit of lube makes when inserting jewelry. My plugs feel so tight if I don't put any on and they go in like a hot knife through butter with even just a tiny amount of lube.

I am flat broke so I clean my ears with warm water and salt, and when I stretch I use the taping method (teflon) with olive oil for lube.
