Re: Cartilage piercing more easily infected.

Heh, I keep changing my mind. I've decided not to pierce my right ear again. So I can just get either rook or daith on my left ear and sleep on my right. I'm going to be doing the SSS occasinally when needed, but I'm going to try the LITHA method too.

I tried the LITHA method on my first industrial, did not go too well though :/
The sea salt soaks are essential to the healing.

I do SSS until the crusties stop, and then LITHA. Which works well for me... Though I wouldn't recommend it to anyone :)
My rook was notiriously crusty. You'll definitely want to be soaking that. Same for daith. Stuff lurks in there, and its hard to get out. I pulled a crusty as big as a fingernail out of there once XD

I don't know if that is disturbing or just gross.... I havn't decided if it will be daith or rook yet.... Might find a good piercer and see which one would be better in my ear... I'm really thinking rook though.

I love my rook
Its a little hard to clean still, but no massive crusties anymore XD
Impossible to change by myself though, without spending 20 minutes pissing it off and making it swell up again.
I have trained the bf to do it for me now, so it might be getting a long awaited downsize :D (like 4 years waiting) It needs at least 2mm shorter, maybe more.
