So i was taping to 1, 1/16 with both ears. And i added 1 layer every 5 days cuz my left ear is weaker then my right. I woke up the next morning in pain and i looked in the mirror and i had a little tear where my ear connects to my face, for fear of have the tear grow larger and larger from the pressure of my plug i of course took it out. Do u think i have reached my limit? I have no idea if the tear will even heal, but my left ear has shrunk down to at least 5/8 while my other ear is just under 1, 1/6. Uggggg fml i hate my left ear. I hope this tear heals and i can restretch it. Is there a procedure where i can get a small suture put in at the tear an force it to heal back together?

I know it's not what you need to hear, but you need to slow down with the stretching, especially since you're using electrical tape which is pretty thick. If I were you I'd leave the jewelry out, at least in the ear with the tear, for a while to let it heal. Try some sea salt soaks to promote healing, and when it's no longer sore start doing oil massages. Vitamin E oil or bio oil is pretty good if you want to break down any scar tissue you've built up with the tear.

There's really no "limit" to stretching if it's done slowly and safely. Just be patient and you'll be fine.

The tear didnt heal back together. Its not sore now at all. I asked my piercer and he has alot of experience with stretching and he said since ive been at an inch for a while that the tear will heal as long i massage with oils and take care of it. ima hold off on my left ear for a while. My 1 inch plug still fits without alot of pressure, uggg. I didnt stretch fast at all. I have been at 1 inch for like 4 months. I only added like 3 layers in like 4 weeks. I think i got it caught on sumthing while i was fucked up (i rolled alot and did sum bars) Im pretty sure i did it while i was barred out. Im scared to stretch it so im just guna leave it alone and massage it wit e oil. SHould i still take out my plug for a couple hours to let my ears rest like i usually do?
