Maybe you should go down a size or two if they're sore or irritated. You should really figure out what size they are so you don't end up skipping sizes and damaging your ears. Maybe you could take them to a good, reputable piercer who could tell you, or just order new jewelry. Also, it's not a good idea to use peroxide on any piercing.
I'm Lindsay.
I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

To find out what size your jewelery is, get a ruler or a measuring tape and measure it. Then use this chart to find out what size you are http://www.earstretching.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=102
Don't use peroxide as like alcohol, it will kill any of the "good germs" that your body has that helps to heal wounds. Use sea salt soaks (1/8th to 1/4 a teaspoon of sea salt to 1 cup of luke warm water). You can also use a gentle anti-bacterial soap in the shower.
If it's healed and just "tight", then you might have to do some massages to help loosen up your skin and make it stretchy. You can use the following oils:
Jojoba, Bio Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Tea tree oil, or if you don't have access to any of those you can use Olive Oil if you're desperate, although it doesn't work as well as the others.
