Finally stretching up to a 0g! YAY!
I've been at a 2g for 2 1/2 months, but now I'm waiting for the plugs I ordered to come it. I've had 0g tapers forever.
Fun Story:
Last weekend, I was cleaning my ears (I do it more than once a week, it's a 3 times a day ritual), and I attempted to dead stretch from the 2g to a 0g. Given, I'd been wearing double-flared plugs, so it was a bit more than a 2g. I'd had a lot of success with dead stretching before, (from 8g-6g-4g), but I was thrilled when the 0g tapers slid in easy-peasy. I put my 2g plugs back in, though.
This morning, as I was putting in a different pair of plugs, the entire thing, 0-ring included slid through my ear.
God, I love my ears.
P.S.
Does anyone else's ears start to "itch" after waiting to stretch? Mine, do. It always makes me sort of excited because I know I can finally stretch again. I can't wait to get to my 3/4" goal. Some kid at school asked me why it was taking forever, because it's taken me almost a year to get to a 2g. But, it's worth it.
I hate waiting.

Congrats! It's always nice when your ears make it easy for you. While the wait may be hard, the anticipation is always sweet. So enjoy the excitement, because you know that in several months 0g will start looking a little small.

Dead-stretching is when you go up one size without the use of tape or a taper, you just put the new plug in your ear if it's loose enough. It's what I've done for the past two sizes; I like it a lot more than using tapers.

My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

i agree. i don't like the way tapers 'tug' on your skin as you push them through. i dead stretched for the first time my last stretch and it was the most painless thing ever. just playing with your lobes and lightly tugging on them really loosens up your lobes without any damage. i takes longer to get to the next size but i highly recommend it

Yup. I always do it with rounded plugs to make it easier but IMO it's a lot better. With tapers I always had a tendency to try to force them in if my lobe didn't feel ready but with dead-stretching you really don't have a choice. If your ear isn't ready it just won't go in, and if it's completely ready it's not too difficult at all. I guess taping is kind of the same concept but for some reason I've never liked it. It's just not smooth enough for me, I guess.

Re: I hate waiting.
alright thanks guys. these forums really help. i've got a lot of info on my ears and how to do it the right way. I've read things and people have told me stretching is supose to hurt and u can stretch in about a week or 2 but now i think im going to just listen and wait awhile until my ears are ready and healed
