Ball closure/ captive ring- help! Can't open it!

Ok, so I bought these:
http://www.bodyjewelleryshop.com/online ... 305277.cfm

They came today and they are gorgeous, I'm already loving them...except...I can't get the bloody things opened! I have small ball closure rings for my other piercing and have never had problems, but these ones... omg I cannot even get it to budge. It feels as though ball and ring is fused, I can't even rotate the ball in the socket, let alone open it.

What do I do? Any tricks?

And I'm worried bacause if it is this hard (impossible!) to open it while having it freely in my hands, how on earth will I ever get it out of my ear..assuming I ever get it in....

Should I maybe try to loosen it a bit with pliers?

Ahh I hate CBRs... there are piercings I'd love to wear them in but they're too hard to work with and I'm clumsy so I don't have the patience. I can barely screw balls on, haha. But anyway, the best thing I can suggest is going back to your piercer. I've hurt myself and pissed off piercings plenty of times trying to get jewelry in. There are some guides on Youtube and such about putting in/taking out a CBR, though.
I'm Lindsay.
I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!
