People jump off cliffs and somehow survive. Doesn't make it the safe way down you should be recommending to others.

Re: 14G to 8G stretch

I actuly used a taper that was 14G to 8G however a had already used old ear rings to strech to 10G. Point is if it is so wrong to jump those sizes then why make this taper?

You're meant to have a taper in EACH SIZE. They're useful used then.
No tapers are designed to skip sizes like that, they're sized by the end measurement.

Re: 14G to 8G stretch

I've always wondered why tapers start so small; they should make the smaller end only one or two sizes smaller to prevent people from skipping. Maybe the pointy ends are easier to make or something. But like someone else said, they're not made to be used to skip.

My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

Assuming you are not saying this as sarcastically as it sounded then I would have to agree with you. Being in rural area where almost no one stretches and having computer down so no access to internet. People may not realize that a stretch from 14G to 8G would be too large of a jump. The only other people I see with stretched ears is like at Hot Topics and Spensors and they told me that 14G to 8G was fine.

It is not a matter of being stupid just lack of info. That is why I am on site like this.

Re: 14G to 8G stretch

I'm from a rural area too, but I waited until I had plenty of information before I started stretching. People don't have to have knowledge about stretching to work at Spencer's or Hot Topic and they really shouldn't be listened to most of the time. Hell, even most piercers give horrible advice on stretching! If you want more information try going to bodyjewelleryshop.com/forum; there are a lot of people on there with tons of experience.

My opinion with stretching is just that it's much, much better to be safe than sorry.

Re: lotion made for same thing

I started stretching kinda befire widespread internet, ha. i did a few things the wrong way and paid for it.
whats wrong with learning from others mistakes and not recommending silly things? (or at least saying everything will be fine, when its quite really might not)

Re: 14G to 8G stretch

even giving the "right" advice can turn out wrong. some peoples lobes dont take to stretching as well at others so you can also get blowouts from stretching one size at a time..

am i not allowed to give my side?? if so please let me know about these new internet laws...
