I have stretched my ears for more that six years now, so you could say it has been done pretty slowly. But I have not followed any guidelines other than my piercing knowledge. Stretching is as I have strated to learn now a completly different subject, so I am pretty happy that I haven`t fucked up my earlobes unthil now.
I have kept my lobes as 20mm for about a year, ant though time had come to go up a size. My tunnels had started to get loose, and fell out all the time. But when you go online to buy jewlery in bigger sizes you could see that they tend to skip every other size, so I could only find 20mm or 22mm. I asked a frind of mine what I should do, and he reccomended me to buy a 22mm silicone tunnel because I could fit it in, and it would stretch the hole slowly. Biggest mistake ever. I put the silicone tunnel in in the evening, and could notice that it was stinging and pushing a lot more than the other times I have changed jewlery. I thought it would just wear off, and kept the tunnels in for a whole night and a day. The next evening i noticed that the pain was not really wearing off, but rather get worse, so I decided to remove the tunnels. Oh well what a horrible sight! It was a lot of open sores or tears in the skin all around the hole, and my ears were really bleeding. I have never, ever experienced anything like it.
And then I started to google "ear stretching", and found this site, about six years too late. Oh well, I really messed up, but I hope I could get some advice on what to do now. My ears looks horrible, but I have been doing SSS on them three times a day, and it doesn`t look like there is any infection. And they only hurt when handled. It seems like the sores are slowly healing up, but my problem is really that I haven`t been able to wear ANY jewlery in them after I took out the 22mm. It has now been about five days. It looks like the sores are making the holes closing up and start growing together. Is this really possible? Is it adviceable to put in some very small jewlery to keep the holes open? And to be able to show myself in public? Or should I just learn from my mistake and leave it alone unthil it is all healed up? And then maybe have to start all over (or never beeing able to wear anything in my ears again...it depends on how bad this really is)
I really f***up my ears. Where do I go from here?

One of my piercers friends was silly and did that. It was HORRIBLE!
He just had to go jewellery-less until it was healed.
I think he was at about 28mm, closed up to about 14mm, and he's just started to re-stretch about 6 months later. Going extra extra slowly this time.
Do the SSS until the sores have healed up. Then you could probably start to wear slightly undersized light metal/glass jewellery, and start oil massages. Vitamine E/jojoba is good for scar tissue.
Your ears are pretty unlikely to close completely, but see how you go.

Good advice! Thank you for that! I have been doing coconut oil massages after every shower, but that was before I did this shit to my lobes. So I guess I have been doing something right in the past. I guess I will go back to massage heaven when these sores heals. I just hope my lobes can go back to some state of normal again some day. It just feels so stupid, never had any trouble before this, and now it looks like mayhem. From 26 to 14mm? Then I guess I won`t try anything more than 10mm when it seems better. And kids; don`t use silicone for stretching! It sucks!

Just look at what size the hole is when its healed, and guess really.
Better to be too small than too large!
If it does get to the point where it looks like it might close completely I'd put a barbell or something in there just to keep it open and save repiercing. Though I very much doubt it'll do that.
Good luck!

Oh well...they just keep shrinking....I think I just invented a way of gettig rid of streched ear lobes. Now it just looks like I have a regular piecing hole in my lobe. And I guess because of scar tissue my lobes seems very "stiff" and hard to the toutch. God I regret what I did. I loved my ears. From 20mm of heaven to some wrinkly cat ass shit over night.

Your ears aren't healed yet. Give them time.
I guarantee you'll be able to go to at least 0g when they're healed.

That was true. Took a coupple of weeks before my ears got back to shape. At first I was only able to use 2 mm spirals, but as I have been massaging and doing all nice things to my lobes they have started to get elastic and stretch very fast by them selves. I guess I am getting around 8mm now, but I don`t dare to do anything fast so I just wear my 6 mm plugs for a while.
Scary experience!

Re: I really f***up my ears. Where do I go from here?
I just did something similar with a taper. I slept with a taper in and in the morning my ear had cuts/sores all around the inside of it. I've had no jewelry in my ear for 4 days and all the cuts already scabbed and the scabs fell off (which was ridiculously fast). But now I can only fit a 0g plug in my ear and it was 5/8" before.
