Tongue Web Piercing
I pierced it myself today and I put in a 14g straight barbell through it and I gotta admit, it looks nice. I might re do it since it's just a tad crooked, but still fairly straight. But how will I know that it's infected? Right now, my web is pretty swollen, and I don't know if it's 'cause that's how it is in the beginning or because it's infected. I use mouthwash and a non-idoized salt solution to clean. Any advice???

Yes, it's normal for it to be swollen for the first few days. Everything you're doing to keep it healthy is good, as far as the sea salt washes and mouth wash (make sure it's watered down if it's alcohol based).
However since it's a home done piercing, I'd take some extra care of it, and if you have any signs at all of infection or it just "not feeling right" then go to the doctor immediately.
Also, did you use an autoclaved piercing kit to do the piercing?
