Can I use these?

Hi all and back again with another question

As the subject line asks...can I use a Steel Stretching Crescent as a stretcher and leave it in till the next stretch without any damage being done to the lobe?

Thanks again :D

i see no problem with that :D but how big is it? if its very big it might swing around and may not be good for your ear, just go ahead and try it! :)

Hi

Thanks for the reply. It would be either a 2mm or 2.5mm. I'm going up in half sizes and no skipping :D

It's not the BEST thing you can stretch with because of the curved shape but it's not too big of deal at that size. If you use it, just make sure the part that's actually in your ear is all the same size. Sometimes with crescents you can get an uneven stretch, like if the part at the back of the hole is smaller than the part at the front or vice versa.
I'm Lindsay.
I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

In general, no. It's not evenly round, the weight isn't great, and it snags. All bad choices for a fresh stretch.

If you tend to wait six months to a year or more between sizes, then it's not such a bad method. But if your piercing is not extremely loose and more than ready to stretch, better to stick with straight tapers and small, short jewelry.

Hi,

Late reply....

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm just going to stick to the straight plugs. I don't use tapers but just put the plug in slowly.
I'll stick to what has been working for me :D
