Problems moving from 8g to 6g :(

Alright so I started at a 14g and my ears seemed to be a bit slutty when it came to stretching. My ears have been peirced since I was a baby so I was completely healed when I began to stretch. I use talons not tapers because I find them more comfortable when I size up. I have had little to no pain whatsoever and just a bit of lymph on my first day of a new size.
I decided that because my 8's were starting to feel a little loose and started to waggle around in my ears that I'd size up to an 6.
Now I managed to get my 6's in with quite alot of resistance which I've never experienced before. It was also my first time where I've had to lube up when sizing up. I wore them the whole day despite experiencing alot of pain, and when I took them out to soak they began to bleed. Now the bleeding wasn't extreme it was just enough to make me believe that I might've torn, I downsized immediately.
Over the past week I've been giving them tlc and have had lymph daily. I managed to be able to look through them this morning and there is no visible tearing or lymph.
What I'm wondering is if what I had experienced was actually a tear or just my ear finally kicking up a bit of a fuss. Have my ears just been a bit too easy on me? How long should I wait until I size up? Do you normally get this much fuss when you get into the larger sizes?
Sorry for the ultra long post :P

Wow, I'm sorry to hear you had problems. Surprisingly enough when I moved from an 8G to a 6g there was mild discomfort but nothing that extreme... 8 to 6 is going up only 2 64ths of an inch, so that's a little odd... Hm. I guess downsizing was the right thing to do, and just try again when you're ready?

Sorry, i'm not very good at this -__-
currently at 2g,
goal is 00g... for now >:D

Awe thanks! You're not bad at this! If fact I like hearing others experiences so
I know what to expect. Any advice is of help right now :/
I agree! It's not that big of a size change so I don't get what's going on :(
I've never skipped sizes and I've always waited until my lobes felt ready to size up before going up.
I did downsize and I babied the shit out of them. When they stopped bleeding or lymphing I massaged them twice a day after I soaked. Yesterday my 8g's began to fall out when I didn't have my o-rings on. I thought they were ready so I sized up when I was in the shower. They went in no problem and with no pain. However I took them out to clean them and salt soak them this morning and they hurt to remove my jewelery, they ended up bleeding again :/ Not very much I would say about the amout you would bleed if you nicked yourself a couple of dabs with a tissue and it was done.
Now I soaked them, one lobe is a bit swollen, it's not visible but I can feel it. I used polysporin to lube and put the 6g back in.
I'm going to keep them in till tomorrow and if I'm still having bleeding like I did today I'll probably downsize again. I really don't want to screw my lobes up by sticking with this size if I'm tearing my ears. I want to be able to know that if I want to go past a 0 that I won't have weak lobes.

I'm also wondering if maybe because my jewelery is getting heavier and it tends to catch more because it is bigger if sleeping on my side is becoming a problem :/

First off, 8g to 6g is the first 1mm jump in stretching, which is why it causes trouble with so many people. It's not as "tiny" of a jump as you're suggesting.
Secondly, you shouldn't be taking out your jewellery to clean it when you've only just stretched. You need to leave it in and not take it out for several weeks while it's healing.
Either way, bleeding is a sign of a rip or tear and you need to downsize immediately.

Okay. I was just weirded out because it doesn't seem like that much of a difference in size between my 8g and 6g when I place them side by side. Thinking about it that way though it makes alot of sense.

Oh! See I usually have been waiting a day then I start taking my jewlerly out in the morning and evening to soak my lobes and I clean and sanitize my jewelery. What's the best way of keeping it all clean without taking the jewelery out?

Alrighty I shall downsize as soon as I finish this post. Thanks for all the help everyone!

The best way to clean it while it's healing is to just run it under the hot water when you have a shower, and also just doing Sea Salt Soaks (it draws out the impurities).
You should probably wait about a month before you take your jewellery out for cleaning if your ear has been bleeding, just to be safe.
