Double Flares for 8g

So I've been at 10g for almost two months and I'm about to get a 8g stretching kit from bodyartforms. They also have these double flares I think are really nice and affordable. http://www.bodyartforms.com/productdeta ... 85&index=7

Does it seem reasonable for me to try 8g acrylic double flares? Will I be able to get them in? I'm just kind of tired of single flared steel plugs, the same way I got tired of CBRs. lol What other jewelry do you guys recommend for someone who wants more variety?

Re: Double Flares for 8g

When are you talking about using the double flares? If you're talking about putting in ACRYLIC and DOUBLE FLARE plugs right after stretching, you absolutely should not. Double flares are meant to be used once your ears are fully healed and have enough of a gap to actually put them in. Acrylic should not be worn in fresh stretches at all, and after you heal, you shouldn't wear them for extended periods of time. Most acrylics are novelty stuff and not meant for long term wear. Think of it as costume jewelry, for lack of a better term.

I definitely wasn't planning on putting them in immediately. I was thinking about waiting for at least a month before trying. I'm planning on staying at 8g for a while, so I guess I'll need to find something else. Thanks.

Take a look at glass plugs they come in all kinds of colors and shapes. Pretty nice usually and are 100% for fresh stretches. They are usually more expensive than metal ones and definitely more so than acrylic but they are high quality and a very aesthetically pleasing compared to metal ones and are safe for fresh stretches.

Thanks! I'll definitely look into getting some.
