Worried about my lobe....
Ok so I got my ears pierced over a year ago and was a silly kid and rushed to a 0g in like ohgod 3 months maybe and they tore so I kept em out and let it heal and started at a 16g again...took my time this time stretching every 2 weeks and tried to goto a 0g AGAIN they tore.....so I downsized AGAIN and now I got back up to 2's and had been downsizing and resizing from a 2-6g to build up my lobes because they are thin but just noticed one of my earlobes is perfect and the other has a tear in it.....can it still heal that torn tissue shut if I keep jewlery out of it or am I a goner???

Re: Worried about my lobe....
First off 2 weeks is not taking it slow you should be waiting like at the very least 4 - 6 months after initial piercing or if you tear a lobe which is basically a new piercing. Then wait between 1 - 2 months between each subsequent stretch then like 2 - 4 when you get to 0g and up. Whatever size you are at now I'd stay at. If you got pierced at 16 then you can prolly keep a 16 - 12G in for at least 4 or 6 months. Do sea salt soaks every day 2 - 3 times a day a long with washing them with antibacterial plain soap 1 - 2 times a day. Once they heal up as in don't bleed, don't ooze liquid, aren't sore and are not torn or thinned out then you absolutely must use vitamin E oil and massage your lobes everyday and you could also try jojoba, emu or Bio oil but the vitamin E especially and the Bio oil will break down some/most of the scar tissue. If they are a complete disaster do not expect them to be all that pretty again. Personall while I am not a piercer or anything and have only like 6 months of experience but have researched a lot and have a piercer friend who stretchs I would say if you plan on stretching again keep in a earring size 16 - 12g the lower the better though. All that tearin and repiercing is creating more and more scar tissue. Don't expect your ears to ever be close to natural ever again due to the immense abuse you have done. Sorry if this is hard to read I'm on my iPad which is hard to type fast and good on.

Re: Worried about my lobe....
To begin, you really need to extend the waiting time in between stretches. Two weeks is obviously not enough, considering you've torn your lobes the second time around.
I suggest doubling that time to four weeks, or going longer.
Stay at 6g for now, I say. Work on letting that tear heal, which is going to take a bit longer than the usual time between stretches. Be perpared to set aside a few months if it be necessary.
Start doing sea salt soaks to keep your ears clean, and you can oil massage your other lobe that isn't injured. I would stay away from oil massaging your torn lobe for the sake of bypassing any irritation. Wait until the tear is healed up a bit more before doing massages.
Just my thoughts.

Nose = 18g
Ears = 8g (2mm) (longterm goal: 2g [6-6.5mm])

I don't see why not. It depends on what you've been doing since it tore. Have you been touching and handling your lobe? Have been twisting and moving your jewelry around? Have you been not leaving it alone in general?
You can go without jewelry, but it could mean that your fistulas will shrink down to a small size. If you're all right with that, then go for it. It's probably best, anyway, considering your situation.

Re: Worried about my lobe....
Sorry about the harshness of my previous post, but the tear will heal, the point I was getting at was the scar tissue will be there.
you better pray to god its not as bad as mine was.
otherwise almost every stretch thats above 1.5mm will make it blowout and bleed.
thats why I wont size up anymore.
