How many sizes can you actually downsize from an inch?
I plan on going to an inch over the summer but i cant decide cause i know i will want to downsize later in life.

My gauges are a 9/16" but my goal is 1 inch

Whether or not your lobes will shrink is impossible for anyone else to tell. Someone might say "they'll close up, I downsized mine from 1" to 14G!" but that's very, very unlikely. Chances are, you're already past the point of no return and you'll have stretches that size for the rest of your life. Everyone is different... even individual ears can be different. I downsized from 0G to 2G and the plugs still fall out of my left lobe (the hole barely shrunk at all) but they're tight in my right ear.
If you know for a fact that you don't want to be at an inch later in life, don't stretch to an inch. Unless you can afford surgery.
