7/16 vs. 1/2"

Even though I'm about to stretch to 00, I'm relatively new to stretching.

Next month I plan to go up a size, but I'm debating which size to go to! My goal for this summer is half an inch, but I haven't decided on my final goal yet. In my opinion, the jump from 00 - 7/16 seems too minimal. Is it safe to stretch from 00 to half an inch?

No, it's not safe to skip sizes.

You're not even at 00g yet. You shouldn't be thinking about two stretches after.
The fact that you want to be at 1/2 by the end of summer also shows you're probably stretching too fast.
It isn't a race.
I'd take relatively small healthy good looking ears over large discolored catbutt and probably blown out ears any day.
