Stretching two sizes bigger

I'd like to go from a 10 to a 6. I have a high pain tolerance so thats not really the problem. Just wondering if its realllly that bad for your ears. Any suggestions?

Don't do it. 8G-6G is hard enough for most people. YOU might have a high tolerance for pain but chances are your ears don't have a high tolerance for being stretched that much in one go.

What if I just slowly progress on 6g tapers? Day by day pushing them further?

Re: Stretching two sizes bigger

The odds of you being able to get enough of the taper in far enough for it to stay in without falling out are pretty slim. Not to mention that you will most like get a nasty blowout or rip your ear and have to start over again anyway. Skipping sizes is never a good idea just because your ears can only stretch so far in one stretch...pushing your ears past their limits usually has bad results.

Good Luck with whatever you choose to do! :)

DONT SKIP SIZES.

Pain tolerance has nothing to do with the fact you are running the risk of literally splitting your ear.

No.. Just no.
Just slowly make your way there.
It's not worth rushing your ears while stretching.
There's no way of getting around it in a safe way.
What's the point of having large lobes when they look horrible?

Jeez...

No, do not skip sizes. Do not wear tapers as jewelry. Read through the threads on here. There is a wealth of information just begging to be read, but no one seems to do so. Everyone seems to think that "they are special," and that the rules do not apply to them. You can break the guidelines all you want, but doing so is asking for trouble.

Sorry if I seem harsh in my post, but it's getting totally asinine how many times this same question is asked and answered on here, and is one of the reasons I don't post as much anymore. It gets really tiring answering the same question 32,000 times a day when all you have to do is make a simple search or just read the New to Stretching section.

Re: Stretching two sizes bigger

I figured y'all would be harsh about it. I did gauge up though, it didn't split my ears or give me a "blow out". I think I'll be staying at this size for a little bit. I have only had gauges for about 2 weeks. Already at a 6, I think? Not really sure honestly. But, I know that gauging up fast is dangerous, and I appriciate your warnings.

You know it's dangerous so you're going to keep doing it? And BTW, don't think that just because you've come this far without problems means you're in the clear for good. You've probably built up a lot of scar tissue which is going to make blowouts and tears even more likely.

Re: Stretching two sizes bigger

ugh. if you arent going to follow advice given, dont post. ESPECIALLY if you're going to just blatantly ignore it, its such a huge slap in the face.

two weeks and at 6g already? i dont envy you.

also, you are STRETCHING your ears, not gauging them.
