Re: Advice
I wasn't bashing you at all, I just saw that your lobe was thin and wondered if you had tried downsizing/using emu oil. If you want to keep stretching, that's up to you.
I think a lot of people on here get the impression that I think I know EVERYTHING about stretching just because I reply to most of the topics with my advice. The truth is, I'm not the most experienced person when it comes to stretching and I don't claim to be. But if I see someone with a problem and I know how to fix it I'll help them. I'm sorry I gave you advice when you didn't ask for it.

I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

Re: Advice
Haha you're not a dick. I get what you're saying, I will never have huge lobes so I don't have any experience with thickening and stuff like that. But I do know that people have gotten results with emu oil and downsizing. 90% of the problems people on here talk about (even with tiny sizes) I've never personally experienced but I know what works in certain situations.
It probably does get annoying when I post in almost every topic... but it's summer break and I get bored, haha.

Re: Advice
@sliced paper wrists: this is going to sound like such a bitch thing of me to say, but i read your entire post and all i could think of was gauges gauges gauges. some of us may not know what its like to be over a 00g, but using improper terms would make me think you didn't know what you were talking about at all had i not seen some of your other posts.

to me it seems as though that corazon gives really useful/practical advice, but people automatically dismiss her because she's at a small size.

Re: Advice
Look this may seem like a dick reply, but it deserves it! You are not a bitch but are annoying! I know the difference between gauging and stretching. Just because I use the "term" gauging doesn't mean i dont know what everyone is talking about. Or even if didn't know I'm pretty sure that I have enough common sense to know what is going on! It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know the definition of stretching versus the meaning of gauging! I hope I would tho with the size gauges I have. Chill out and stop being a grammar cop!

Re: Advice
corazon_de_oro I love your advice and i love that you reply to every post ... it is very helpful .. shit im only at 6 ga but if I see someone say they stretched from 18 ga to 0 in stretch Im still gonna tell them its a bad idea .. if people wanna get mad at me they are welcome to it lol
Im heavily tattooed and it really surprises me how differently the Tattoo community acts vs the ear stretching community .
If I see some one with a very small but very lovely Tattoo I complement them .. I dont dis on them because I have more ink coverage than they do , and if they wanna recommend me to their artist I am thank full for the advise , I dont spit in their face cause I have more Tattoos then them .and even if someone has most of their body covered with terrible Tattoos and I recommend them to a better artist for quality work .. they dont jump down my throat either telling me they know everything there is to know and there horrible ink is better than mine just because they have more coverage .. i hope this makes since... I really dont get why most people with Large gauge lobes think they are so superior to those of us with smaller lobes , I really dont plan on stretching past 2 ga but that does not mean Im some how less than someone with 2 inch lobes ....some of us just like the look of smaller stretches vs large ones its all a matter of personal aesthetic... it seems people with larger lobes ( on this forum ) assume that those of us with small lobes are only small because we cant get them as large as theirs .. when its about personal choice .. isnt that what all body modification is about ??..
No offence but Maybe its an age thing .. most of the people on this forum are much younger than me .. Maybe I just have a high enough maturity level to understand ..to each his own !
Thats the most frustrating thing about this whole forum to me ....
sorry for the long ramble .. I want to clarify Im not jumping on anyone ... happy stretching to all ... no matter how safe or unsafe you wanna do it

Re: Advice
Thanks.
You are definitely an example of someone who has tiny lobes and gives excellent advice!
I think people see it like this... when they first start out, they're impatient, and getting to a large size in a short amount of time is what they'd ideally like to do. Most people assume at first that they can go up a size every couple of weeks or less, so when we tell them 6+ weeks they get discouraged and think "I'm never going to reach my goal size at this rate!" Taking your time is especially unappealing when you've got friends with big lobes and you'd like to catch up. So when someone else, maybe even a piercer comes along and says "stretch fast like I did, you'll be fine!" that advice is way more appealing. Especially when that person has 1"+ ears and I have 0G. The thing is, people who do that and reach their goal size without major complications are really lucky. Has anyone seen the stretching disaster slideshow on Photobucket? That's what happens to people who aren't so lucky.
