You need to get plugs. Tapers aren't meant to be worn as jewerly and can mess up ur ears.

Buy some plugs to wear now at 4g and for every size you're at in the future. Always wear plugs, never tapers. Even spirals and crescents or really anything that dangles can mess up your ear if the weight isn't evenly distributed. Keep up the massages...in all honesty I do vitamin e massages every day, so that's something you can always do. Any plug, flared or not is good to wear, but keep in mind a double flared plug could give you more problems than a non flared plug when healing a blowout.

here, this should help.
1. get a proper set of plugs. I would suggest 4g single flared Glass or non flared surgical stainless steel.
2. continue your daily oil rubs. i massage my ears just out of the shower. my pours are more open and its easier to remember it in my daily routine.
3. salt water soaks every other day. use warm water. 1 part salt per 8 parts water. doing one everyday isn't terrible but it may cause your skin to dry out a bit.
4. do not play around with your jewelry if you can help it. the more you irritate you ear, the longer it will take to heal.
5. stop worrying how fast it will take to heal. it won't heal fast. you just set your self back 2 months at least. thats what happens when you start cramming things into your ear. the one plus is now you know what it feels like to stretch wrong. if your ever putting in new jewelry and it feels like that again, STOP. I'm sure you were thinking that it didn't hurt that much or that it was only a little sore. keep in mind, even though you may tolerate pain, your lobe doesn't tolerate stupid.
6. take it slow going back up.
If you need help, we are here. our answers may not always be what you want to hear but there is some good information coming from these people. Good luck and good stretching.

No. Don't use regular table salt. Use non-iodized sea salt.
