Re: Help with ear size
going from a 4 to a 2 really isn't as bad as it looks. I mean I thought the same thing before I did it. Once I did, I was like WTF, that was it?ggallenfan wrote:10 to 8 easy not even sure if I stretched.
8 to 6 a little sore.
6 to 4 barely felt it.
4 to 2 is scaring me it looks like quite a stretch.

Re: Help with ear size
18g - 16g Easy
After one month 16g - 14g Easy
After one month 14g - 10g kinda painful (Swelling and small infection, piercer said I should skip to it. I hadnt done any research at this point)
After one month 10g - 8g Easy (after a LOT of research. I decided I could do it myself)
After about a month 8g - 6g Easy
After two weeks 6g - 4g Easy, Slight pinch didnt last long (current size)
I will be going to a 2g in about two weeks or so, which will be about a three week wait. I have found that my ears and skin heal very fast (still no reason to rush), I have them lubed with Vitamin E oil pretty much everytime I go home. Very stretchy! Next stretch should be an easy one.

You are going way too fast! You might want to keep in mind:Reezie wrote:18g - 16g Easy

I was just wondering how you got those healing times, and what about larger size wait times? I understand it's more time for the bigger you get, just wondering where you got it from?

Re: Help with ear size
That timeline thing isn't really accurate... you should wait 6-8+ weeks between each size, and that's pretty much a minimum. The best thing to say is that you should wait until you have zero pain and very little resistance moving on to the next size. If someone follows a guide like that exactly then they may not be ready to stretch; then they might ruin their ears and say "I waited long enough, so how did this happen?!" And the smaller sizes are just as important as the larger ones, if not more, so you should wait just as long between those.
Also, there's really no reason to wait longer between bigger sizes. With the American gauge system there are a lot of huge gaps, so if you go straight to those you'll have to wait quite a while. But a better/easier thing to do is to go 1mm at a time (after 2G).

I'm Lindsay.
I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!
