red and puss?

So, i waited at least a month since i stretched my ear last, i wanted to stretch it again pretty badly. got wrong size from a friend and got a bit pissed off and taped up one of my old tapers. measured it the next day and it was actually smaller than my previous one. no wonder it didnt hurt =/ went out two days later and bought a new taper..

So, i went from a 6mm to a bit of messing around and a 5.something mm then to an 8mm.

It hurt when i put it in and it swelled up as i had to put a lot of force into it. the next day i noticed that there was a tiny bit of puss or what i thought was puss, it was more white than anything ( i was expecting some kind of grooss something) and as i cleaned that off there was a tiny eeeny bit of blood..
I soaked it in salt water and junk and that made all of the swelling go away.

now its about two days later and its still got a tiny bit of what seems to be pussy stuffs. when i look at it the skin inside is red on part of my lobe.

Its not painful and theres hardly any gross stuff. but i was wondering if i should change it to my other taper (got two for one) so its a bit cleaner.. or if i shouldnt take this taper out at all.

I was hoping the stretch would go perfectly so i only got an acrylic taper.. so would it be a good idea to go but some kind of steel one?

And if im cleaning it at least three times a day, would that be somehow messing things up?

You stretched too fast, so really you just need to downsize so you don't end up with ears full of scar tissue.

I really dont want to downsize, im not planing on stretching it again anyways..

It's a lot better today.. so i think im going to try and just keep it..

Not downsizing means it will take longer to heal the tear. That's a longer period of time where infection can set in. The tear will form more scar tissue, and be more likely to get irritated or sore in the future for no apparent reason. It will be less likely to shrink than if you had downsized and babied it to heal the tear quickly. Even if you never stretch larger, there's plenty of reasons not to ignore damage to your piercing.

If you went from 5 mm to 8 mm, you skipped a couple of sizes, plus you stretched way too fast. When people on here advice you to downsize (which I do too), it is because you are actually at a risk of messing up your ears permanently, they are not saying it to annoy you. Downsizing for a couple of months is much easier and cheaper than having to have surgery down the line.

I would also recommend downsizing and then do sss a couple of times a day and gently put some e-vit on.
