4g to 2g rip! What do I do?

Hey guys. I'm new to post here, but I've been around for a few months. So far I have been stretching up in sizes about every 2 months. Both lobes are at 4g right now and last night (while under the influence) I decided to attempt my 4g to 2g stretch, which is a fair stretch as many of you know. Admittedly I know I was stupid to do this under the influence. Basically, I used my KY and such to lube up my 2g tapers (was to lazy to run out and buy more Teflon) plus I was under the influence as mentioned above. The stretch it self was smooth from what I remember: no pain, just a tiny bit of resistance. When I woke up this morning, I noticed strong discoloration in my lobes (red/blue). They were extremely swollen and sore to the touch. Also, my right ear had a few specs of dried blood but no visible fresh blood. I removed them immediately, and let the swelling go down for around half an hour to an hour. I then did my regular oil massage and cleaning routine, and put my 4g's back in. My 4's went in with no problem or pain.

My question for you guys is, what's next? I'm thinking keep my 4's in, continue my daily cleaning and massaging routine and continue to treat them like my babies for the next 3 months or until fully healed. Is this proper? If you have any suggestions let me know.

Also, is there ever such a thing as too much cleaning? I usually remove them 1-2 times a day for massages (usually 1), but clean them about 3 times a day in total with bio-oil, keeping them in. I know this isn't necessary, but is it harmful at all (potentially stupid question)?

Thanks for your help. ;p

Massaging irritated/torn lobes will just make things worse; the best thing to do is leave them alone and do sea salt soaks until they heal. And yeah, you can clean them too much. One or two 5-10 minute soaks a day is plenty.

Ok sounds good.
I'll do sea salt soaks instead!
