How can my ears be so radically different?

So I stretched both my lobes to 7/16" a few days ago after being at 00g for about a month, and I've come to the conclusion that there's a reoccurring theme in my lobes. My left ear has many problems, while my right stretches without trouble. But, I got my left ear pierced and have been stretching it since I was about 14 (I'm 17 now) and my right was done more than a year later. I had double flared black stone 7/16" plugs in both ears, but my left was bleeding and scabbing and I'm pretty sure I tore the inside of it, so I downsized to 00g. Also, my right already healed over and I now have room in between my lobe and the plug when I pull it down, even though I just stretched it a few days ago. How can my ears be so different? And is there anything I can do to make my left ear less sensitive and more easily stretched?
Oh also, as a side note, about ten minutes ago I was eating ice cream while watching tv and my right double flared 7/16" plug just fell out of my ear. I was reasonably confused. Haha
Thanks,
Greg

Was your left ear pierced with a gun, and your right with a needle? From what I hear, gun piercings are the worst if you plan on stretching, since they form more scar tissue than getting pierced with a needle. This could be a contributing factor.
Also, quite a lot of people have what we call our "bitch ear". Mine's my right though.

Nah, I got both of them pierced with a gun. I guess that's just how it goes though, one ear stretches easier than the other. I just wish my left wasn't being so annoying...I'm going to let it heal and try to stretch it back up to 7/16". I hope it goes better this time around.
Thanks

Perhaps it's the way you stretch your ears.
My left ear was my "bitch ear", as StrickyCub puts it, up until my 7/16" stretch last/this Saturday/Sunday, until I remembered to pay very close attention to the angle and direction I stretched both my ears.
Like, if you're right-handed, sometimes you may stretch your left ear by pulling the left lobe out at a 90 degree angle with your left hand and pushing it in with your right index finger. That could make your taper go further to the left than to the right, and make an uneven stretch that may hurt/irritate your lobe more?
Sorry, my words/thoughts are all scrambled, haha. Just a theory.

my bitch ear is my right ear, it never wants to stretch. If it wouldnt look so weird i would just take it out and do just my left ear.
