ripped earlobe

I don't want to bore you with a huge story so I'll try to make this simple and short.

-I was at 5/8" for 4 years
-My plug fell out
-I had nothing else to put in so I used a taper as an earring
-I slept with the taper in
-I woke up to a bunch of blood and a tear in my earlobe
-I took out the taper, cleaned my ear, did a sea salt soak
-I haven't had anything in my ear at all for 4 days

So today I decided to put a plug in just so my hole doesn't get too small and the only size plug I could get in without any force was a 0g -_-

Should I continue to do sea salt soaks and keep the 0g plug in or should I have no plug in at all until everything seems healed?

any advice is appreciated and yeah I know wearing a taper as an earring was a dumb thing to do... using a taper at all is bad enough.

You've already been naked for a couple days. It's up to you if you want to leave the 0g plug in or if you want to go naked. Of course going naked for a while would let your lobes heal faster but as long as you take care of your lobes with some SSS you should be good leaving the 0g in.

So a few days after I posted this I decided to have nothing in my ear at all and just let it heal itself for a while. It's been about 5 months now and my lobe closed completely. It's weird, it like closed on the inside, but the outsides are still open. So like a 16g will go through the front or back, but stops in the middle and doesn't go through.

I'm going today to see if someone will pierce it again as well as get my other ear done. I'm beginning the stretching journey again.
