Tat Shop gauged my ears... wrong??

Last night I impulsively bought gauges and at the information of the tat shop I was at, said I could jump my first time from 18g to 8g and that was the largest. So I did. we put them in, hurt like hell. Everything I've read online now say never to jump sizes, don't use anything other than stainless (we used wood). What should I do know? I'm going back to the shop when the open today but I need advice now. They hurt and I can't seem to move them at all. Advice please! And just FYI, this tat shop is well-respected and featured in the community I live in, I also have gotten all of my tattoos from one of their artists.

What are you wearing right now? Tapers? Plugs? Spirals? Try taking a hot shower and removing the jewerly then because the heat helps loosen up the piercing. Once you get them out I wouldn't put anything in for months. Also do SSS once they're out and when they heal up a bit do some jojoba/vit e massages to help break down scar tissue, but I'm sure you've got so much now your ears will never look normal again. Lastly, and this goes without saying, never go back to that tattoo parlor again for stretching info. Just because they're a well respected tattoo shop doesn't mean they know anything about stretching.
The sound of gun fire so loud and rapid, but it seems to be so quiet around me, and out of nowhere I feel peace cover me. I reach down and reload my ticket home. The taste of cold steel on my lips, and a second later silence fills the January air...

You'd be surprised how many otherwise amazing piercers know nothing about stretching. And tattooists aren't piercers

Wood is super porous. Shouldn't be worn in fresh stretches let alone fresh wounds (when you've obviously torn your ears)! Get them out right now if you can! Though your skin has probably fused to it already...

And don't skip sizes ever! Thats a huge jump!

Don't get piercings there ever again if they think wood is fine. Their tattoos might be good, but they're obviously beyond lost on the piercing/stretching side.
