Lobes getting getting dry and a bit flaky

My lobes are starting to get a bit dry and flaky so I did a quick search through the forums here and found a lot of people recommend using vitamin E oil and changing your sea salt routine. My ears were just pierced recently so I am wondering how long until they will be healed enough that I can start massaging them with the vitamin E oil that everyone recommends so heavily. Also wondering if I should change my sea salt routine any, which has been 10 minutes every other day.

Your sea salt solution may be too saturated.
Are you using 1/4 of teaspoon and 8 oz of water?
What's your process?

Just dab your lobes with the vitamin E with Q-Tips. You shouldn't think about massaging until your ears are fully healed.

I've been using probably an ounce and eyeballing the amount for that, so I'm guessing probably too much salt, but I just hold the container over my lobes.
And what you are saying is I should start using some Vitamin E oil on my lobes but just with a Qtip like cleaning them?

Well the vitamin E isn't really necessary just yet.
You should just fix your sea salt solution and that should be enough for now.
It's important to get the proportions right or else you could be doing more harm than good.
