I was looking for cool plugs and I found these teardrop ones.

I was wondering if I wore these plugs would my lobes stay in the shape of the teardrop or would they go back to normal when I removed the plugs? I really like them but I dont want teardrop shaped holes.

dont have alot of info to give you , but a friend of mine has tear drop plugs .. and he says about once or twice a year they get dry and cause like a scab at the top point of the tear drop .. and he will have to take them out for a day or 2 to let it heal .. any way I guess tear drop plugs would put uneven pressure on the hole and Im pretty sure if you wear them regularly then your hole will be tear shaped

Thanks for the reply. So as long as I change them to normal plugs once in a while I should be fine?

yes. you can wear just about any shaped plug for a short period of time - square, triangle, teardrop, and the like- but for long term and for sleeping i would suggest using circular plugs, so the pressure on the hole is the same all around

I have worn elliptical shaped jewelry (7/8") with no ill-effects.

Granted I never wore them for multiple days straight out of concern for the same problem (uneven distribution of pressure).
