So this morning I woke up and was doing my daily cleaning routine when I noticed the back of my left ear had some dried blood on it. I havent stretched yet and still have the same 14g rods in my ears from when they were pierced. The lobe doesnt look red or swolen, or hurt. So is it possible I may have just layed on it funny in my sleep or bumped it and caused a small tear?

Yeah I bet it was just from sleeping, cause i've had mine in for awile n everything was good n same with you i woke up n went to clean it n their was some dried blood, n their was no pain or redness eathier, n I haven't had it sinse. I would say tho if it continues to bleed then maybe while you sleep try using a jewlery that will less likley get hit in your sleep. And if that isn't the case then you might need to downsize if it continues to bleed.

its just a standard steel rod with a ball on one end and a flat circle on the other and I sleep on my right side so I'm not sure how it would get bumped. I have some single flare 14g tunnels I could try but I've read on here I need to wait 2 months to switch jewelry which is still 2 weeks away before I could switch them. I was also pierced at 14g so I have nothing smaller.

it sounds like the jewelry you have is just right( i think they are labret studs from what you describe ( I wear those in my 2nd lobe holes and they are very comfey ) , I wouldnt even mess with a plug let alone a tunnel ( which can cut your ear going in , if you dont wiggle it just right especially in small sizes) I wouldnt mess with and plugs till 8 - 4 .. I am at 6ga and just started wearing plugs and tunnels , in the sizes below that its just easier to wear a cbr or brc ring good luck
