I don't understand why so many peeps with stretched lobes think they are so superior to others. So what some might not use the correct terms... O well is it really that big of a deal? Or someone stretched faster than should've, they messed up but don't say they gave stretching a bad name. Since when did one person decide what's the standard of stretching. People are going to do what they will it doesn't make sense to get flustered over it, do what you want for yourself. Uphold your own standards, and let others uphold there's.

Re: People complain to much
I think people (myself included) just have a hard time separating advice from insults. When we tell people they're stretching badly, it's not because we think we're superior. Most of us giving advice have screwed up at least a little in the past, and now we know how to stretch without screwing up, so why wouldn't we give advice?
Yeah, people do things differently, and some people can stretch fast and are fine, but why would you risk that if you don't have to? If you don't want to take the advice of others, fine, but keep in mind you're a lot more likely to get catbutt/blown out lobes than someone who takes their time and listens to what others have to say. The advice I give is what's been told to me by people who have been stretching for years and years and have perfect, healthy lobes. What I (and many others on this board) recommend WILL get you healthy lobes; we take the risk out of stretching. I'd rather listen to that than some kid who just started out and says "I'm at 1" after two months of stretching and my lobes are perfect!" Because that kid is just lucky. Most people who did that would rip their lobes in no time. And again, I'm not saying we're superior, we've just done more research. If I had successfully done brain surgery by chance one time in my life, I wouldn't go telling every brain surgeon in the world "Do it like this because I did it once and it worked!"

I'm Lindsay.
I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

I agree that people on here sometimes forget that body mods are about self-expression and doing what you want with your OWN body. Sometimes people act like they should be dictating exactly how everyone else does their thing, which I think contradicts the whole spirit of body mods.
