Retrying!! Please help!!
So my right ear lobe hole closed up :/ SO Im waiting for it to compleatley heal and I was thinking about getting it repierced. But I kinda don't want to start all over again.. so I was thinking about getting it pierced at a bigger gauge size. My question is, by doing this is their any real bad risks to doin so? I know as for peircing it at a bigger size I risk the hole not ever closing which im ok with, is their any other risks? (I want to gauge it at maybe a 6g possibly! Please help, thank you!!

I dont think you should have any problems if you pierce it at a bigger gauge. Why are you repiercing your lobe anyways? It shouldnt be completly closed. Your worst case scenerio would be that you have to start over from a really low gauge size, like 14 or 16.Ummm dont go any higher than a 8 or 6 if you do repierce it. Hope this was helpful, sorry I didnt have more info :/ But i thought i should at least give you some insight

Re: Retrying!! Please help!!
I had some trouble with my right lobe, it swelled and got irritated on the outside so i had to take out the stretcher cuz their was to much pressure. My body heals pretty quickly so the hole closed up. and I wanted to pierce it at an 8g or a 6g, i don't want to be any bigger than that. 6g is my goal size.

If your goal size is 6, it may not be a bad idea to be pierced at an 8. It make take longer to heal than would a say, 20g cheap claires gun would take. The pay off, however, is exponentially better. There will be far less scar tissue accumulated inside the fistula from all the stretching trauma; if or when you do decide to retire them, they will shrink or even close MUCH quicker because of it. Just be sure to be extremely careful while they heal, as you have more open flesh exposed and it could put you at risk for infection. Be sure to wear some really nice, bio compatible metal, glass, or pyrex and they should look absolutely beautiful both stretched and retired.
