Re-Stretching After Healed

About 5-6 Years ago I stretched up to 15mm. The hole has now shrunk down to around 4mm. Although now I'm looking to Re-Stretch it up to maybe around 6-8mm.

The VERY 1st time I tried stretching I was neive, and went straight from a normal 1.6mm piercing to 4mm with a taper... Stupid, yes i know. Which resulted in a bleeding ear when it was removed... No surprise there tbh. However the 2nd time was successful,, small increments of perhaps 1-2mm a month until i was eventually at 15mm.

So basically I'm just wondering about any implications or problems there may be with stretching over healed/scar tissue.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Re-Stretching After Healed

Since your ears srunk down it would seem as though the scar tissue is not bad. So stretching back up properly may not be such a big deal. I would suggest that prior to attempting to re-stretch you use a combo of emu oil and vitamin E oil a few times a day for massages and some sss once a day in order to soften any scar tissue there may be.
You know how to stretch correctly now and I bet it will all go great! Have fun!

Re: Re-Stretching After Healed

Thanks for the advice. I wouldn't see a problem in the re stretching part it's just the fact of stretching tissue which propably shouldnt be stretched, however, usuing oils is something i never thought of, maybe to add that bit more elasticity to the skin...??

The oils totally help with softening scar tissue. It makes a huge difference. :)

Re: Re-Stretching After Healed

everything hiptocode said. though sss wouldn't be very effective though because its mainly used for healing soars. can't hurt to try though.

I would say the main thing is to go slow and be careful. listen to your ears. if it hurts or there is resistance, don't force it. massaging and "playing" with your ears will help them loosen up.

Good luck!
