Taping silicone tunnels? :)

Hii. I've had 20mm lobes for a few years now, and I want to stretch them to 25mm (1 inch). And this time I'm going to use the taping method. So I'm wondering if it's ok to put the ptfe-tape around a silicone tunnel? Not those super tiny ones, but a thicker silicone tunnel like this: http://www.crazy-factory.com/images/pro ... 10BK_L.JPG ?

And another thing, is it possible to downsize from 25mm to 20mm?
Or will my plugs just fall out? xD

Nah.. every time you you bend the plugs to put them in you're going to crease, stretch and mess the tape up. You need to tape on a stable and straight wearable. And silicone can be very drying, so it isn't a great idea to put tape (that needs to be kept well lubed) on it.
As long as you don't have obvious arylic allergies, just tape on no-flare PMMA. It isn't touching your skin anyway, and is super duper cheap :)

And your plugs might fall out for a while, but after a week or so you might be okay? Downsizing every so often makes happy lobes, and it should be fine as long as you stretch/ed well, but it isn't something you easily hop inbetween sizes depending on what jewellery you happen to feel like wearing that day :3
I was at 19mm for a while, and 1" looked SOOOO much bigger!

Yea, the tape got a little wrinkly after I put them in and out a few times. I guess that's bad for the ears?! So I changed to a no-flare PMMA plug, and now I have to deal with those damn O-rings again. Haha. But I guess it will be worth it at the end.

Thanks for helpful answer ^^
