Ear stretching and the ocean??

I am likely going on vacation sometime around august 19th (yay me!) and was just wondering about the safety of my earlobes in regards to the ocean and swimming pool. Would it be a good idea to avoid stretching my ears anymore before this trip (to make sure they are healed and nothing nasty gets in there) or would I be good with only a few weeks, say if I went up the 1st of the month?

Stretching shouldn't cause any open wounds anyway so unless you're stretching too fast you'll be fine.
If you do have unhealed lobes by any chance, you can still swim but just make sure you do a sea salt soak or at LEAST clean them with saline solution afterward.

oh, and make sure you either take out your plugs or get some screw on tunnels that wont fall out. speaking from experience
