Removing an 8g without pain
Okay so I've had this little piercing heal for seven weeks by now. I started out with a 8g. Right now they are pretty much healed up and I'd like to switch it soon, but whenever I try to remove the jewelry there is a little pain shooting through my lobes. Would there be a reason behind this?

what kind of plug do you have in now ? wood or acrylic could have fused to the skin . was your ear pierced at 8 ga ? or did you stretch it to 8 ga ?
if its not wood or acrylic , its probably just tight did you try lube ? I always use some kind of lube usually vit E oil when changing my jewelry ,some things like spirals or screw on plugs tend to try and tug the outer skin in with them and that stings without lube ..
so Id say give that a try

I have a pair of glass plugs in right now. And it started at an 8 since I just liked the idea of starting it at that.
Is there a place I could find those products? I think lube would help, but do you apply it to the back of the lobe or the front?

All it means is that they're not fully healed yet. 7 weeks isn't that long... I had my lobes pierced at 10G and they didn't get completely healed until three months later. 8-12 weeks is usually the healing time for lobes.
I'm Lindsay.
I have 1/2" lobes and 11 piercings: left helix x2, both conches, both nostrils, septum, navel, and VCH.
My lobes are small but I know a lot about stretching and how to do it safely, so message me if you have any questions!

Thank you. I went to talk to the person who pierced my ears today and she said the same thing about them not being fully healed.corazon_de_oro wrote:All it means is that they're not fully healed yet. 7 weeks isn't that long...
